Our Teens Are Getting Ready for Camp!

A Fun Day for Our Teen Leaders

The CANN teens (Cumberland, Amelia, Nelson, and Nottoway Counties) got together on Tuesday, June 25 to enjoy a day of getting to know each other and some light planning for our upcoming 4-H summer camp.  Can you believe that it's less than 2 weeks away?

Our teen leaders have been involved in training sessions as a cluster and with their respective 4-H agents to prepare them for a week of fun and excitement working with 4-Hers, ages 9 - 13.

On Tuesday, the teens met at the Blue Ridge Tunnel on Afton Mountain and enjoyed a walk through the tunnel.  The temperature in the tunnel (in the 50s)  was a wonderful relief to the outside temperature (in the 90s).

The group of teens, along with their agents and adult volunteers, then traveled to Roseland and enjoyed lunch and ice cream under the pavillion at Saunders Brothers Farm Market.

All of our teens will be continuing to train and plan this week in anticipation of our week at Holiday Lake!

As a reminder, we will be updating this blog several times a day while we're at camp.  Make sure to bookmark this page!
